Going to create one topic so that people can watch this whenever a new release comes out!

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for April 22, 2015. Happy Earth Day!

Just wanted to let folks know that I am posting a new version of the CIEL concept dictionary in the dropbox with versions from 1.6.6 to 1.11.0 (2.1).

Can I please remind everyone using the CIEL dictionary that this is a trust model. We are providing the service to the community and the community assists by providing concepts they require back to CIEL. This also includes translation of CIEL concepts into other languages. If you have added concepts to your dictionary and have not reported them back to CIEL, I strongly encourage you to do so (if guilt doesn’t work, then I will start to harass you :).

If this is the first time you are hearing about the MVP/CIEL concept dictionary which now comes as a standard option with the standalone appliance, you can get updates from the CIEL dropbox. You can send me an email describing your openmrs implementation, version number, country and project… and I will add you to the dropbox.

Be sure to read the wiki: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary

NOTE THAT A NEW DISTRIBUTION METHODOLOGY FOR CIEL USING THE OPEN CONCEPT LAB WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON.

This version includes the global property ciel.conceptsVersion which contains the date of the release in YYYYMMDD format.

This release has a few minor bug fixes and some additional concepts for PIH.

It also includes a separate drug table which contains all of the WHO essential medication list drugs linked to the concept table. The plan is to integrate these two more closely providing concept sets of drugs which parallel the WHO classifications. The drug table may eventually become a superset of international RxNorm encoded medications from which you can select from. For now, it is just the WHO EML. We will keep the SQL separate for now so that you don’t have to overwrite your local drug table when importing the CIEL concept dictionary.

The drug table was NOT updated for this release.

FYI a new release was posted. HOWEVER the 1.7.3 and 1.8.3 tables which were uploaded yesterday include a drop drug table line which SHOULD NOT BE USED. If you downloaded the 1.7.3 or 1.8.3 versions yesterday please do not use them and only use the versions uploaded today 5/16/2015.

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for July 30, 2015.

Be sure to read the wiki: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary1

A new global property update was added for 1.11+ which will force recreation of the word index as this is no longer included as part of the CIEL upload.

This release has added concepts for OpenSRP with Bengla/Bengali concept names as well as terms for PIH. Several thousand translations terms were added for Vietnamese! Thank you Phong, et. al.!

OF NOTE: For certain concepts which have had coded answers, but which could potentially have multiple different coded answers, we are going to remove those answers in the next release. For example: Physical examination, breast previously had coded answers like: breast engorgement and nipple fissure. In the next release it will simply be coded without answers specified so that any coded response would be acceptable. IF YOU HAVE FORMS WHICH SIMPLY PULL THE ANSWER LIST FROM THE DATABASE, YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THAT LIST WITH ONE SPECIFIED IN THE UI.

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for August 23, 2015.

Just wanted to let folks know that I am posting a new version of the CIEL concept dictionary in the dropbox with versions from 1.6.6 to 1.11.0 (2.2).

Be sure to read the wiki: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary1

A new global property update was added for 1.11+ which will force recreation of the word index as this is no longer included as part of the CIEL upload.

This release has made some minor additions for PIH. There will be another release very soon to correct some validation errors that came up during the OCL testing, so if you want to wait, you can.

OF NOTE: For certain concepts which have had coded answers, but which could potentially have multiple different coded answers, we have removed those answers from the concept.

Concepts added for this release:

Note, that we missed a couple of issues for PIH and will be putting up a new version VERY shortly. Hold off if you can before implementing 12/31/15.

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for February 7, 2016.

Just wanted to let folks know that I am posting a new version of the CIEL concept dictionary in the dropbox with versions from 1.6.6 to 1.11.0 (2.3).

A new global property update was added for 1.11+ which will force recreation of the word index as this is no longer included as part of the CIEL upload.

This release contains a fair number of translations, new concepts for THRIVE and PIH and others, and an update of SNOMED maps where prior maps were to retired SNOMED codes.

OF NOTE: For certain concepts which have had coded answers, but which could potentially have multiple different coded answers, we have removed those answers from the concept. For example: Physical examination, breast previously had coded answers like: breast engorgement and nipple fissure. IF YOU HAVE FORMS WHICH SIMPLY PULL THE ANSWER LIST FROM THE DATABASE, YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THAT LIST WITH ONE SPECIFIED IN THE UI.

Sorry, caught an issue with the last concept created: 163287 should be Sterile water for injection, 1 ml ampule (not 10 ml ampule). Please be aware that this will be corrected in the next release. Do not use this concept if you want 10 ml. If you need 10 ml it will require a new concept to be created later.

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for March 15, 2016.

Just wanted to let folks know that I am posting a new version of the CIEL concept dictionary in the dropbox with versions from 1.6.6 to 1.11.0 (2.3).

Be sure to read the wiki: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary1

A new global property update was added for 1.11+ which will force recreation of the word index as this is no longer included as part of the CIEL upload.

This release contains a fair number of translations, new concepts for iSante, OpenHIMS, THRIVE, PIH and others.
