Hi, my name is Paul Chinn. I am a volunteer consultant helping over ythe next couple of years to bring to life a new charity maternity centre in Arusha, Tanzania.
I am busily trying to define information needs and find affordable and supportable solutions for all aspects of the centres work.
I come to OpenMRS after a couple of abortive involvements with other open source EMR/MRS systems and am hoping (maybe even praying) that my experience with OpenMRS is better.
I will admit to being a bit nervous of having to layer Tomcat and Java on the top of what I had hoped would be if not a simple but at least standard operating environment with Apache, MySQL and PHP, but so far the technical implementation has straightforward and I am encourage by the active support network.
Hi My name is Sarthak Agrwal
Hello, I am Francis Opolot from Uganda working with a District Local Government supervising health facilities implementing OpenMRS. I am a graduate in IT and had a passion in software development/engineering but have not practised it for some time now. I have interacted with Open MRS as a user but would wish to have a deeper understanding of OpenMRS so as to support the facilities in the district and / or the country. OpenMRS is a very good system for data capture, reporting and so forth. However, going online (EMR) would be of great help to us as implementer s given the many advantages it provides.
Hoping to learn more in OpenMRs and be able to support the community. I also hope to contribute more to the community.
God bless you guys!
Francis
