Welcome! Please introduce yourself

Hi, I’m Lalit Yalamanchili !

I’m a 7th grade student based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I go to Galileo XP which is a global online school. This year I want to contribute to OpenMRS for GSoC and a school hackathon which lasts one month. I am willing to contribute after the hackathon too. I haven’t done much open source contribution in the past so this is new to me. I like to build web applications with tools like React, Svelte and Astro. My website is made with Svelte. I have also made another project for a previous school hackathon called EduSpace. My GitHub is here.

I would like to work on the project GSoC 2022: Responsiveness & Tablet-based Needs for OpenMRS 3. I also would like to know how to contact JJ, I can’t seem to find his full name or anywhere to contact him from .

Thanks

Lalit Yalamanchili

Hello All, I’m Ben, I’m new to openMRS and glad to have finally decided to join this wonderful community. I am an MD with background in public health and health informatics. Currently, working as a health data analyst in immunization program. I am keen to adopting openMRS and integrating to DHIS-2 so end users can focus on their duties while seeing patients, rather than spend hours trying to enter data directly into the DHIS-2. I am also interested in development of a mobile personal health record system. I am from Cameroon.

Hi, I’m Gobinath from Canada interested in learning more on EMR integrations and like to take this GSoC 2022 as an opportunity to learn more about OpenMRS. I maybe late to the party though as there are only two more days to submit the proposal.

I’m more interested in " GSoC 2022: Improving the OpenMRS Developer Experience: Updating the SDK since it aligns with my interest and skills.

OpenMRS Android Client Project 3.0.x and Building a Testable FHIR Implementation Guide also caught my eyes.

Looking forward to work with the community.

@gobinath checkout GSoC 2022: Contributor application period from 4 April to 19 April 2022 and GSOC 2022: Application Template.

Hi there  My name is Alex. I’m a software developer and recently I’ve been looking for a project to contribute to. I was intrigued when I found OpenMRS because besides coding I’m interested in helping people - e.g. I was a volunteer in a youth center once and worked with refugees. OpenMRS seems to make a meaningful impact, so I feel like this is another good opportunity to help. I’m still new to open source software, but I look forward to learning about and contributing to OpenMRS!

Before getting into software development, I was on the more theoretical side of computer science, specifically in logic, formal verification, model checking and automata theory, which I still enjoy a lot. On a less technical note, I like doing sports, such as climbing and yoga, I love cooking, watching movies and playing board games.

Feel free to contact me any time

Hello. Am Jessie Ssebuliba from Kampala, Uganda. I heard about OpenMRS way back in my high school in 2017 but had no way to quit school to join you guys. But fortunately, here I am. I am a huge fun of coding, though a newbie, but am willing to learn all the aspects related to this system. And today, 23/04/2022, I’ve created my introduction to the community, and I think you’ve liked it. Don’t worry about that second name “SSEBULIBA” :joy::joy: even the Mac doesn’t understand that concept. Just call me “JESSIE” Am willing to learn, and I have to. Thank you!!

This is me down here👇
