GSoC 2024: Coding Period Starts Today!

Hello everyone,

We are excited to announce that the GSoC 2024 coding period officially starts today, May 27th! :tada:

First, we want to thank all of you for your active participation during the community bonding period. We hope you all have had productive conversations with your mentors, set up your weekly meetings, and established your preferred methods of communication.

Here are a few reminders as we kick off the coding period:

  • :technologist: The coding period runs from today until August 26th for standard projects, or November 4th for large-sized projects.
  • :date: The mid-term evaluation will take place from July 8th to 12th.
  • :memo: Remember to write a blog post each week as outlined here: GSoC 2024 Contributor Blogs.

A few tips to help you succeed:

  • :page_facing_up: Always document your work on relevant wiki pages and talk threads. You can use your projectโ€™s existing wiki page or create a new one if necessary.
  • :bar_chart: Track your progress using OpenMRS Issues. Feel free to create an Epic for your project.
  • :e-mail: For any kind of issue/blocker, feel free to contact the Org Admins.

Good luck, and we look forward to seeing all the amazing work you will accomplish! :rocket:
