Where to with a Patient Portal

Hello team,

I am reaching out to gather some insights into the current status of the Patient Portal development for OpenMRS. I’ve observed multiple discussions across various topics, many of which haven’t been updated in the last four months.

I have noticed that a “Patient Portal Module—Personal Cancer Toolkit Project Revamp” is available and that the Bahmni Team has made some progress in developing/redeveloping a patient portal as well.

Can someone provide a situation analysis of these projects? I need to know which option is most mature for implementing a patient portal in OpenMRS. @gsluthra @tendomart @kshebbar @leroi @gmanish5771 - have you guys got any updates >?

Hi @oliebolz

depends on where you wanna run this.

But we can probably begin at GitHub - personalcancertoolkit/openmrs-module-patientportaltoolkit which runs on OpenMRS 2.x

and migrate it to the openmrs organisation.

But since it’s UI is for 2.X… probably further design may be required , we just need to create an esm app so it can run on 03(OpenMRS 3.0) instead

@oliebolz we (@Mekom) are in the conception phase of a patient-facing app, but this is not OpenMRS-specific. It’s just FHIR compliant :slightly_smiling_face:
