What happened to: go.openmrs.org/guide

While trying to do some testing on uat-refapp.openmrs.org, i noticed that this link https://github.com/openmrs/openmrs-module-legacyui/blob/master/omod/src/main/webapp/help.jsp#L23 results into "Can’t find book “openmrs-guide”. Does anyone know what happened?

The go.openmrs.org/guide link points to http://write.flossmanuals.net/openmrs-guide/, which does not work, but if you get rid of the “write.” in the URL, then it works.

How would we update a go.openmrs.org link? (And, should these just be deprecated in favor of om.rs links?)

@burke do you have an answer to the above?

Unfortunately, this short link is owned by @michael and I cannot change it. I’ll investigate to see if I can change ownership or find some other way to edit it.

FYI – it’s actually pointing to http://en.flossmanuals.net/openmrs-guide/ and, for some reason, the “en” subdomain is being redirected to “write”

FYI2 – I’ve submitted a request for an OpenMRS org account for GitBook, hoping we can migrate to using that service for our documentation, books, and guides in the (near) future. If we can get an org account soon or confirm that books can be transferred from a user account to an org account, then we can try to get GCI studs to help transfer our guides to GitBook.

I’ve fixed go.openmrs.org/guide

@burke you fixed http://go.openmrs.org/guide a couple of days ago. But it is again broken. Do you have any ideas regarding how to fix it?

It looks like flossmanuals is ungergoing transitions. If you can find the URL for the book, we can point the go.openmrs.org/guide link to it. At the moment, it looks broken to me (i.e., I get the same error if I try to load the book on flossmanuals.net).

Possibly they lost our book.

This was fixed and guide moved to GitBook format on GitHub.
