My name is Karen Marie Kasigila, and I am a Data Science major at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, graduating in May 2026, with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. My work focuses on applying data science and AI to real-world problems in healthcare, particularly in low-resource and global health settings. I am currently involved in health-related data and research projects. Alongside my academic work, I am building ImaraCare, previously known as Vitaconnect– an AI-powered remote diagnostics concept for rural healthcare. I am driven by the goal of combining technical skill, entrepreneurship, and impact to create scalable solutions that improve access, equity, and outcomes in healthcare.

Hi everyone!

I’m Adarsh Dubey, a CS undergrad at IIIT Kottayam, India. I’m excited to start contributing to OpenMRS and become part of the community.

My main skills include Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, MySQL, Docker, JWT, and Spring Security. I’ve built backend modules such as booking systems, payment flows, and RAG-based assistants.I’ve set up the OpenMRS repo locally and can build and run tests successfully.

I’m interested in contributing to backend areas, and would appreciate guidance on a beginner-friendly issue in openmrs-core or the FHIR2 module to get started.
