Subject: Hello from New Full-Stack Contributor - Deborah Nakamatte

Hello OpenMRS Community,

I’m Deborah Nakamatte, and I’m thrilled to be joining you as a full-stack contributor!

My journey into software development comes after over 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, which truly sparked my interest in this field. I’m currently in training, but I’m eager to start contributing to both the front-end and back-end as I continue to build my skills.

I’m looking forward to learning and growing with all of you.

Best regards, Deborah Nakamatte GitHub: Debbielou (Deborah Nakamatte) · GitHub

You can start here: openmrs-esm-user-onboarding. There are quite a few bugs at the moment, and most of the issues aren’t filed on Jira yet, so you can help by finding and fixing them.

In my opinion, this project is perfect for beginners since it’s meant to give a guided tour to new O3 users, but right now it needs some love and fixes. I’m currently working on it, and it would be awesome if new contributors like you could join and help revive it.

If you discover an issue, please create a ticket for it in Jira and assign it to yourself so others know what you’re working on.
