Welcome! Please introduce yourself

Hi everyone! :waving_hand:t4:

My name is Chidinma Ahunam, and I’m excited to be part of the OpenMRS community.

I have a background in Public Health with experience in data analysis, web development, AI/ML applications, and digital health innovation. I’m passionate about using technology to improve health outcomes in underserved communities.

Over the past year, I’ve worked on projects involving chatbots for reproductive health, predictive models for disease screening, and geospatial data analysis for identifying health service gaps. I’m also currently exploring ways to integrate open-source tools with blockchain and AI for better health data interoperability.

I look forward to contributing to the OpenMRS community through documentation, research, and technical contributions as I grow. Please feel free to guide me toward beginner-friendly issues or areas where I can add value.

Excited to collaborate and learn from you all! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Title: Hello OpenMRS Family – New Contributor Learning Java :rocket:

Hello OpenMRS Community,

My name is Sebaana Yusuf Salim, and I’m excited to introduce myself as a new member here. I’ve just completed my Diploma in Computer Science, and I’m currently deepening my understanding of Java, which I understand is a key part of OpenMRS development.

I’m based in Mukono-Ntawo, Uganda, and I’ve always been passionate about tech that makes real-world impact — especially in healthcare. My goal is to actively contribute to the OpenMRS platform, learn from this amazing global community, and grow into a developer who can solve problems that matter.

I’m also into frontend development, with some experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and I’m slowly getting comfortable with backend concepts too. Aside from coding, I love singing, learning new things, and building with others.

I would really appreciate any tips or beginner-friendly issues to help me get started. I’m here to learn, collaborate, and contribute wherever I can. Looking forward to connecting with many of you and growing together :laptop::globe_showing_europe_africa:.

You can find me here:

Thank you for having me!
