Hi everyone, I am all new to this…Github, Open source and at last OpenMRS. This all seems very interesting but I am a newbie and don’t know about much. At my level I know some android, Kotlin, java and c++. I hope with the help of you guys I’ll be able to contribute as much possible to the community. Good Day ahead!!

Welcome @nij

A click on this link gives a good start for you!

hi can I know how will get access to Log in - OpenMRS Issues

I put up a request at the help desk and it says permission granted and “waiting for triage” but I am still not able to log in to the issues section

You can’t login because the service is down as reflected on this link https://status.openmrs.org/

Welcome to OpenMRS @kalana we look forward to your contribution.

can anybody tell me what url to use to access the app for developing purposes is it https://demo.openmrs.org/openmrs?

You are welcome to the community @nij you might want to also look at Android and OpenMRS development. You can navigate to resources and page tree to find more info.

Am so sorry to re-share this link again after @kdaud has shared it. https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Copy+of+Getting+Started+as+a+Developer. Every step is very import and helps to hasten your development process.

I will recommend you install an SDK instance which is step number 6 in the getting started guide. It will be easy for you to watch the module on which you making changes on of which is not the same with the demo server.

Hi. I am Umang Tiwary. This would be my first open source contribution as a Software Engineer. I am based out of Bangalore, India. I come with some node js and react background in terms of language and stack. Always was curious about how and when can I contribute to healthcare domain. OpenMRS gives a great opportunity. Still going through the resources and have joined slack channel. Hope its enough for now :stuck_out_tongue: . Let see how it goes. Cheers for all wonderful contributions people have made through years in this organization.
