Hi everyone. My name is Brandon and I am from the US. Over the last 4 years I have been studying software development at Western Governor’s University (WGU) and I am set to graduate in the next 3-4 weeks. While also busy completing my last project for school, I am actively looking to get involved with a meaningful project. Learning the git process is important for the future of my career so I am presently understanding it more and GitHub is were I found this project (using the search term “healthcare”).

Over the last 10 years I have worked in a hospital setting, mostly customer service, billing, and patient registration. In that time, I have seen the incredible expense facilities have taken on to purchase very expensive medical record software and this project stood out as a way to help those who want to care for sick people keep costs down and focus on the important aspects of patient care.

The field of coding, computer programming, or whatever you refer to it as came of interest to me a few years back when I took a computer science elective and created my first real computer program. This opened a new world of possibilities to me and I am eager to learn more, contribute, and create.
