UI Commons Maintenance Release 2.6.1 Announcement.

I would like to announce a maintenance release version of the UI Commons module. This release is addressing the bug related to the ref app’s registration app’s birthdate fields misbehavior which is tracked by UICM-86 and addressed by this commit. The fix is relatively easy and straightforward. Therefore this talk topic is merely an awareness call so that everyone following the development of UI Commons module is aware of what is going on.

However before I go ahead and release, I will hold off for one business day in case there is any concern or an oversight on my side. This means if I don’t see any objection by Monday 16:00 EDT, UI Commons version 2.6.1 will be out and about.

Please feel free to let me know your views, objections or comments if any.

It turns out I don’t have privileges to release. I can push to neither maven nor github repo. Could you please take care of this?

Our recommended practice is releasing from bamboo. Did you take a look at this? https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Releasing+a+Module+from+Bamboo

Remember to also release the version in Jira, if you don’t have admin privileges to the module’s jira project I can help with it when you’re done with the release.

I don’t have access to bamboo. What do you mean release in Jira? Where exactly in Jira?

Have you seen those versions assigned to each ticket in jira? They are defined in JIRA for each project and they need to be marked as released when the release actually happens and set the release date.

And the second problem? Bamboo privileges?

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to release. I created a ticket on help desk for help with a bamboo login but it hasn’t been resolved so far. @dkayiwa do you think you can help with this? If you do thanks because I know you are a very busy person. Otherwise I will have to wait for 2.7.0.

Help desk is very well run by a team led by @jwnasambu that i do not think they would take that long to respond. Are you sure you did not get a response? Can you check your spam folder?

@dkayiwa another problem. I am trying to change the fix version of https://issues.openmrs.org/browse/UICM-86 but I don’t seem to be able to do that. Is there something I am missing?

P.S. I realized there isn’t a release version 2.6.1 and I don’t have privileges to add one. Please anyone help so that we finish this process.

On an unrelated note. I also don’t have privileges to upload on addons.openmrs.org, so obviously I need help here too.
