In preparation for the end of Q1 we are collecting updates from each strategic goal lead / teams on objectives for the OpenMRS Community Strategic Goals . By filling out this spreadsheet we will be able to track where we are on our goals /objectives and what we need to focus on in the next quarter. Please take a look at this spreadsheet and get the status column filled out by March 31 for tasks you are working on or plan to work on.

As you may know, partnerships and collaborations is a part of strategic goal 6. As part of goal 6, we have developed a proposed we site ‘endorsement’ model for OpenMRS. The proposal can be accessed here

We’d like to start working on how to measure the impact that OpenMRS is making on healthcare and patient lives. Currently, the only way we have ever been able to understand impact “in the field” is through self reporting from implementers, which has been widely varied in accuracy and consistency and types of data reported. The summary of the discussion so far is that we need to start with simple metrics and work on obtaining those accurately and consistently before adding more complex ways of …
