Dear Community,
I wanted to lead this off differently because something has been on my mind for quite a while now. I know there are SO MANY of you that are valued as leaders in this community and I want to make a plea with you..
The weekly leadership meetings are attended by members in the OpenMRS community that serve in a leadership capacity and dedicate a significant amount of time in service of other members in the OpenMRS community. For a long time these meetings have occurred on a weekly basis and, for the most part, its the same people attending each week. Sometimes it feels like we're talking to ourselves and we really wish community leaders would join these weekly calls to present and discuss ideas and "step up to the plate" to lead a new project. I see so many leaders in this community doing amazing work, working incredibly hard, and making sure that things are done well.
Please join this call. At the 2016 Implementers' Conference we spoke face-to-face and many of you expressed ideas and passion for new projects and solutions... this is your time to present and discuss those ideas in a forum that can lead to acquiring funding to make your dream a reality.
