New version of CIEL concept dictionary added to dropbox

Is anyone still using Version 1.7 or 1.8?

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for July 9, 2018.

Just wanted to let folks know that I am posting a new version of the CIEL concept dictionary in the dropbox with versions including 1.6.6, 1.9.9, 1.10.2, 1.11.4 and 2.0 and 2.1.

Can I please remind everyone using the CIEL dictionary that this is a trust model. We are providing the service to the community and the community assists by providing concepts they require back to CIEL. This also includes translation of CIEL concepts into other languages. If you have added concepts to your dictionary and have not reported them back to CIEL, I strongly encourage you to do so (if guilt doesn’t work, then I will start to harass you :).

If this is the first time you are hearing about the MVP/CIEL concept dictionary which now comes as a standard option with the standalone appliance, you can get updates from the CIEL dropbox. You can send me an email describing your openmrs implementation, version number, country and project… and I will add you to the dropbox.

Be sure to read the wiki: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary11

NOTE THAT A NEW DISTRIBUTION METHODOLOGY FOR CIEL USING THE OPEN CONCEPT LAB WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON.

Each version includes the global property ciel.conceptsVersion which contains the date of the release in YYYYMMDD format. A new global property update was added for 1.11+ which will force recreation of the word index as this is no longer included as part of the CIEL upload.

This release contains new concepts for PIH and lots of French translations for existing concepts.

It also includes a separate drug table which contains all of the WHO essential medication list drugs linked to the concept table. The plan is to integrate these two more closely providing concept sets of drugs which parallel the WHO classifications. The drug table may eventually become a superset of international RxNorm encoded medications from which you can select from. For now, it is just the WHO EML. We will keep the SQL separate for now so that you don’t have to overwrite your local drug table when importing the CIEL concept dictionary.

The drug table was NOT updated for this release.

Just added 1.7.3 and 1.8.3 to the dropbox. Is anyone still using those versions?? #CIEL @OpenMRS

@akanter is it possible to also share links to the Concept Dictionary files for download? This could be easier as sharing dropbox folders consumes any allocated space

Not really. I will move older versions to a different folder but the current release will always be in the folder. The names change.

@akanter That will be excellent

Also, if you are using CIEL and haven’t filled out this, please do (deadline in 3 days):

The Regenstrief Institute at Indiana University is conducting a survey to understand the overarching utilization and impact of OpenMRS. This information is intended to inform the development and implementation of an M&E framework for OpenMRS implementation sites.

The last publicly available implementer survey was conducted in 2012 and covered only eight (8) implementation sites. This survey attempts to systematically capture data from a larger representative sample of implementations (active and closed). The results of this survey will be disseminated to the widest possible audience of implementers as well as shared on Talk and other OpenMRS Forums. This information will give us a broader understanding of the use of OpenMRS globally. De-identified, aggregate (by region) survey data will be made publicly available to the community through a report and a peer-reviewed publication.

If you are an organization that is currently using or has previously used OpenMRS (in any form or distribution), please fill out this survey form: https://tinyurl.com/openmrs-survey . We estimate no more than 20 - 30 minutes to complete the survey. We will be accepting responses until October 15th, 2018 .

We thank you for your interest in sharing your experience & learnings for the benefit of the OpenMRS community!

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for February 27, 2019.

This release contains new concepts primarily for OpenSRP.

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for April 8, 2019.

This release contains new concepts primarily for iTech and OpenSRP.

Hi all, and especially @akanter and @raff, I can’t seem to get the concepts into my instance of OpenMRS. I have ref app 2.9.0 (platform 2.2.0 with the addons), MySQL 5.7, Tomcat 8.5 and Java 8. I downloaded the sql dump for 2.1 and followed the instructions in the readme (increase max_allowed_packet, import into the right database) and got notification that database had been changed after a fairly large output which made me think the import was successful despite it taking much less time (about a minute and a half compared to the 10 minutes or so that Andy says it would take). However, when I check my OpenMRS (even after rebuilding the search index), there are only a few concepts that come by default. What am I doing wrong? TIA

Johnblack, can you look at the actual concept tables and are you seeing them in there (but not seeing them in the app)?

What are your counts of active rows in concept* tables?

@raff, perhaps we just need to build a 2.2 version of CIEL to be sure. Anyone else having these issues with the latest version of the ref app?

@johnblack, what is in your “fairly large output”? Could you please give precise commands you executed to load the CIEL dataset?

It’s possible that the concept index hasn’t been automatically updated. You need to restart OpenMRS for that to happen or do it manually by going to Administration - Maintenance - Search Index - Rebuild Search Index as explained at https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/The+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary

@raff @akanter “fairly large output” is over 100 lines in the console. What I did is basically what is in instructions in the dropbox folder: -Download the SQL dump (for version 2.1) -increase max_allowed_packet by adding this line “[mysqld] max_allowed_packet=128M” to the my.cnf file -select the openmrs database in mysql “USE openmrs;” -import the sql dump with SOURCE and the directory

I then manually rebuilt the search index as you indicate above.

Here are the tables in the openmrs database: https://pastebin.com/TxxJHYDw It seems they are there, right? So I wonder what the issue is. I also get this error https://pastebin.com/Xbw2TeLa

The therapist queries the patient about what was intended to be communicated as well as what she thinks was actually communicated. The therapist may then use coaching or role play to help the patient improve her communication skills.

@johnblack, getting back to you.

The issue is related to https://github.com/openmrs/openmrs-core/commit/e52553eccc97b63a2606fcf497f1f0b8a9f7c386

It’s a breaking change in the OpenMRS DB schema. @akanter, we’ll need to start releasing yet another 2.2 version of CIEL. I’ve updated scripts. The next time you release you should get …2_2.zip as well.

Thanks @raff for getting back to me. How do you suggest I work around it? @dkayiwa had suggested I do a clean install, but I don’t think that would fix the issue if there is no concept dictionary for 2.2 @akanter will it be coming soon? I assume with it I will be able to replace everything that is currently there (2.1) and then it will work.

I will put up a 2.2 version today. Thanks @raff
