New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for February 24, 2017.

Just wanted to let folks know that I am posting a new version of the CIEL concept dictionary in the dropbox with versions from 1.6.6 to 1.11.4. I will add the 2.0.x version as soon as @raff provides it to me.

Can I please remind everyone using the CIEL dictionary that this is a trust model. We are providing the service to the community and the community assists by providing concepts they require back to CIEL. This also includes translation of CIEL concepts into other languages. If you have added concepts to your dictionary and have not reported them back to CIEL, I strongly encourage you to do so (if guilt doesn’t work, then I will start to harass you :).

If this is the first time you are hearing about the MVP/CIEL concept dictionary which now comes as a standard option with the standalone appliance, you can get updates from the CIEL dropbox. You can send me an email describing your openmrs implementation, version number, country and project… and I will add you to the dropbox.

Be sure to read the wiki: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary1

NOTE THAT A NEW DISTRIBUTION METHODOLOGY FOR CIEL USING THE OPEN CONCEPT LAB WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON.

This version includes the global property ciel.conceptsVersion which contains the date of the release in YYYYMMDD format. A new global property update was added for 1.11+ which will force recreation of the word index as this is no longer included as part of the CIEL upload.

This release contains a large number of updates and new concepts to support PIH, Reference application, OpenHMIS, iSante and others.

It also includes a separate drug table which contains all of the WHO essential medication list drugs linked to the concept table. The plan is to integrate these two more closely providing concept sets of drugs which parallel the WHO classifications. The drug table may eventually become a superset of international RxNorm encoded medications from which you can select from. For now, it is just the WHO EML. We will keep the SQL separate for now so that you don’t have to overwrite your local drug table when importing the CIEL concept dictionary.

The drug table was NOT updated for this release.

Thanks, @akanter.

I’ve updated the mdsbuilder.openmrs.org server with the Feb 24 CIEL dictionary. Although that server was recently updated to OpenMRS 2.0.1, the dropbox openmrs_concepts_1.11.4_20170224.sql file works perfectly fine. Pleasant surprise.

Thanks, @akanter! What is the best way for implementation to share their newly created concepts in their implementation dictionary with CIEL?

(Andrew Kanter) #49

The best way would be to email me and @judy a spreadsheet with clear names, descriptions and your AMPATH codes (and any other maps or translations).

(Darius Jazayeri) split this topic #50

2 posts were split to a new topic: How to use the “Next scheduled visit” concept from CIEL (dates in future)

We will keep the SQL separate for now so that you don’t have to overwrite your local drug table when importing the CIEL concept dictionary.

The drug table was NOT updated for this release.

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for July 3, 2017.

Be sure to read the wiki: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary11

This release contains a few new concepts.

You can send me an email describing your openmrs implementation, version number, country and project… and I will add you to the dropbox.

Be sure to read the wiki: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary112

NOTE THAT A NEW DISTRIBUTION METHODOLOGY FOR CIEL USING THE OPEN CONCEPT LAB WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON.

Each version includes the global property ciel.conceptsVersion which contains the date of the release in YYYYMMDD format. A new global property update was added for 1.11+ which will force recreation of the word index as this is no longer included as part of the CIEL upload.

This release contains new concepts for the reference app.

Just to let everyone know that I will be adding a 2.1 version of the CIEL database to the dropbox with each release. I just uploaded a version for the Nov 18th release.

New version of CIEL dictionary added to dropbox for February 23, 2018.

Just wanted to let folks know that I am posting a new version of the CIEL concept dictionary in the dropbox with versions from 1.6.6 to 1.11.4 and 2.x

Be sure to read the wiki: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary

This release contains new concepts for the reference app and some additional concepts for PIH.

Where can I get the latest copy of the OpenMRS dictionary in SQL?
(Daniel Futerman) #58

Just to mention the wiki link is broken (it’s got a few extra digits at the end of the URL - I assume when you copy the link each time it’s also picking up the number of times the previous link was clicked and appending that to the URL).

The correct link is https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Getting+and+Using+the+MVP-CIEL+Concept+Dictionary

(Bright Ibezim) #59

Hello Sir, I tried emailing your with my details but it keeps failing. I need an sql copy of the latest MVP-CEIL dictionary. We are a non profit health service organization and are currently supporting OpenMRS deployment across over 200+ facilities in Nigeria. Hoping to hear from you soon. Thanks

(Darius Jazayeri) #60

@brightoibe I notice that Andy changed his email address on the wiki page earlier today, so I suggest you email him again at this correct address.

(Bright Ibezim) #61

Hello Sir, Sent you a mail with details of our implementation. Hoping to get a feedback (link to MVP-CEIL dictionary OpenMRS 1.8, 1.9, 1.11,2.*) from you soon? Thanks

This release contains a few new concepts, but includes a new concept_source (MED-RT) and so, the pharmaceutical classes (16) have had an additional mapping provided. I also broke a rule, but since the last concept release was only 2 weeks ago, I changed the name of a newly released concept from HIV-1 rapid recency test result to HIV-1 recent infection algorithm result, which is more accurate.

It also includes a separate drug table which contains all of the WHO essential medication list drugs linked to the concept table. The plan is to integrate these two more closely providing concept sets of drugs which parallel the WHO classifications. Just discovered that a bug in the build process has not actually updated any of the 2.0 and 2.1 version files since Feb 23, 2018. I am recreating the release now, but it will be for April 23rd 2018.
