Hey community,
We’re super pumped to celebrate some amazing GSoC 2024 students who’ve absolutely crushed it this year. These folks didn’t just stop at doing great work during GSoC—they went above and beyond, making solid contributions that are shaping the future of OpenMRS. So, we’re proposing an upgrade for these rockstars to the /dev/2
stage!
Here’s the lineup of awesomeness:
@senthilathiban - Validation Rule Builder for the Form Builder
Your work on the validation rule builder has been a total game-changer, making forms smarter and so much easier to use. And thank you so much for helping me stay on top of those important GSoC deadlines. you’re seriously amazing Senthil!
@manojll - Validating and Updating the OpenMRS Patient Flag Module
The improvements you’ve brought to the patient flag module are a huge win for the community. We see the effort you’ve put into making it more effective—amazing job! Also, thank you for going above and beyond your project to contribute to the OMRS backend. And a big thanks for traveling all the way from Kandy to meet the OpenMRS team at the Colombo meetup, even with our less-than-perfect scheduling!
@vijaykv - O3 User Onboarding
First impressions matter, and your onboarding experience for OpenMRS 3.0 absolutely nails it. New users are going to love it thanks to you! Some implementors saw your work and were really impressed. It’s so cool that I even presented your work at the OpenMRS conference in Nairobi, Kenya, and the GSoC mentor summit in California!
@parthfloyd - Building an Offline-Capable Android Application for LMICs Integrated with Enhanced OpenMRS 3.0
You’ve basically taken OpenMRS to the next level. Way to make a real-world impact! It was so great meeting you in person in California, and thank you so much for making the trip to say hi to the OpenMRS team in Sunnyvale. Can’t wait to see more of your amazing contributions in the future!
Special Shoutout!
Congrats to @jexsie and @lumuchris256, who also participated in GSoC this year and have already earned their /dev/2 status. You’re both an inspiration—keep rocking it!
A Big Thank You to the Mentors!
None of this would have been possible without the incredible guidance and support from our mentors. You’ve been the driving force behind these students’ success—thank you for sharing your knowledge, time, and encouragement!
