Lessons learnt while deploying an EMR solution in rural India

Session Title: Lessons learnt while deploying an EMR solution in rural India

Session Type: Breakout Talk (30-minute session including a presentation with optional Q&A)

Description: I was involved in deploying Bahmni (an OpenMRS distro http://www.bahmni.org) in a hospital called SEARCH, in Gadchiroli, in rural Maharahtra (India).

I would like to share my experiences of doing a deployment of an EMR solution, during the 3 week stay in SEARCH hospital. I will talk about the challenges faced by technologists in doing deployments in resource constrained environments, and the lessons that we can take with us for further implementations.
