Interest in Mentoring for GSoC 2025

Hi folks,

I’m excited to see that OpenMRS has been accepted for GSoC again this year! I reviewed the project list and noticed that a few projects are still in need of mentors. I’d love to contribute as a mentor for one of them.

I was a GSoC contributor in 2022, where I worked on rebuilding the cohort builder. In 2023, I mentored the “Extending E2E Test Coverage” project and also served as a QA Fellow for OpenMRS. With my experience in development and testing within the OpenMRS, I believe I can provide valuable guidance to this year’s contributors.

I noticed that the following projects currently don’t have a mentor:

  • Improved Appointments Calendar View
  • Forms Migration Tool: Help HTML Form Users Switch to O3 React Forms
  • Growth Chart App for O3

I’d be happy to mentor one of these projects. Please let me know if I can be considered!

@grace @ibacher, out of the three projects mentioned, which one do you think is most important for the community and most straightforward?

Alternatively, you could also be a co-mentor for the Implement Stricter TypeScript Configuration project.

Growth Charts would actually be a fantastic add-on for the patient chart and I think it’s pretty straight-forward what it’s meant to look like.
