/ws/rest/v1/catalog gives an error

The documentation at https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/REST+Web+Services+API+For+Clients suggests that we can get a list of all resource types available using REST with the link

/ws/rest/v1/catalog

I tried it on my local (newly installed server platform 2.0.5 with reference application modules 2.6.0) and on the demo server and in both cases I get an error reporting “[Unknown resource: v1/catalog]”

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
