WHY we use pure servlets to handle request from the login page

well i was a bit concerned why we dont use Spring MVC to handle requests from the login page, i think t gives it a better control over using a pure servelt

Can’t think of any reason, I want to think that It must be because at the time the login page was written, spring hadn’t yet been fully incorporated or was still a mystery.
