I noticed that the old reporting documentation mentions two features: Indicators Over Time and Data Set Viewer. It also notes that they were “Not available in Reporting 0.7.0.”
I went through Talk and JIRA but couldn’t find any history about these features, and they don’t seem to be available in the latest module version either. It looks like they were removed at some point, but I’d like to understand the background.
Does anyone know the history of these features or why they were removed?

Most likely they were immature features in which we found bugs or performance issues and were not ready for prime time, and then at some point we took a different direction (moved to focus on 2.x reporting user interfaces in the reportingui module, or moved to use external reporting and bi tools, etc) and they were never fixed and added back in.
