Hi Everyone!

My name is Jude Niroshan. I would like to contribute on OpenMRS this year’s GSoC. I really love to share the things what I know and also humble enough to learn by my mistakes. I’m a college student who spend many hours of the day in-front of a computer(usually 12-14 hours). I have contributed on StackOverflow and other programming communities in my leisure time. Technology is changing our lives. In fact the healthcare sector. I do believe in the writing code can save lives it can be clearly visible on healthcare in IT.

I have worked as a Software Engineer in a healthcare sector company. I also worked in travel domain previously. Past 3 years I’ve been living with Java and huge legacy systems. I won’t find it difficult to work with 100+K loc projects. I’m also a certified oracle developer. I can spend 3-4 hours daily basis which of course let me to dig deeply and do some innovative stuff.

I really want to participate on GSoC 2017 in order to fine tune my knowledge while getting into the open source community. I believe with my background knowledge on healthcare domain and familiar with similar applications like OpenMRS would be beneficial to do a great job.

I am interested in few projects.

  • Operation Theater Module Workflow Enhancements

  • Support Multiple Classes per Concept Project

  • Open Concept Lab enhancements

  • Patient Matching 2.0 Project

I hope I can be able to contribute to OpenMRS in GSoC-2017. I’m interested on Theater module enhancements . Hope to do a awesome job. @akshika47

Some online presence of myself are available here: StackOverflow LinkedIn

Best Regards, Jude Niroshan

Hello, I’m Joanne and I just completed a software engineering fellowship with Hackbright Academy. I used to be a business analyst at a healthcare technology company where I managed software projects that used HL7 data to keep track of patients’ locations/data in nursing departments. I love open source technology and I hope to contribute to this project by combining my previous healthcare experience with the developer skills I’ve gained so far.

I have full stack experience in Python, Flask, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. Github: https://github.com/jttyeung
