Hello everyone! :waving_hand: I’m Aditya Tiwari, a 2nd-year B.Tech CSE student at IIIT Agartala.

I’m keen on getting involved in open-source development to learn how large, real-world systems are built and maintained. I work primarily with Java and have a solid grasp of Data Structures and Algorithms, and I’m currently learning Spring Boot to strengthen my backend development skills.

I’m interested in OpenMRS because of its meaningful real-world impact and mature codebase, which I believe is a great environment to learn open-source workflows, code reviews, and collaborative development. At this stage, my goal is to start contributing consistently, understand the project architecture, and learn from mentors and the community by working on real issues.

I’m also exploring OpenMRS as a potential organization for GSoC, but my immediate focus is to learn, contribute, and grow through hands-on open-source work.

Looking forward to learning from the community and contributing wherever I can. Thanks! Aditya Tiwari

Hello, mentors

Hello, my name is Divyanshu Kumar, and I am a B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering student from India. Currently, I will be applying for GSoC 2026 with OpenMRS.

I am focused on React for front-end development and Java for back-end systems. I have hands-on experience with React, Java- Core Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, SQL/MySQL and NoSQL, and comfortable working across full-stack, modular, database-driven applications. I also work with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when building and integrating user-facing features.

I would like to start contributing with React-or Java/Spring-related starter issues that will help me build meaningful familiarity with the platform and community practices.

Any advice on suggested entry points, starter issues, or areas where new contributors can add value early would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to mentor me. I am excited about learning and contributing.
