Hello OpenMRS Community, My name is hillary derrickson and I am excited to join this incredible community of developers and healthcare enthusiasts. I am currently a final year student pursuing a degree in computer science from Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a strong passion for software development. I have gained experience in various programming languages such as flutter, javascript and python, and I have worked on projects involving web development, mobile app development and database management. I am particularly drawn to OpenMRS because of its mission to improve healthcare delivery in resource-constrained environments through open-source software. I believe that technology can play a transformative role in healthcare, and I am eager to contribute my skills and learn from the experienced members of this community. Here are a few specific areas I am interested in exploring and contributing to within OpenMRS:

1.Module Development: Enhancing existing modules or developing new ones to improve functionality and user experience. 2.Bug Fixing and Code Review: Contributing to the stability and reliability of the platform by identifying and resolving issues. 3.Documentation: Helping to create clear and comprehensive documentation for developers and users to facilitate easier onboarding and usage of OpenMRS.

Hi Everyone My name is Egbewole Olawale Solomon. I am an IT expert as well as a volunteer in Medical Missions. We are about to set up our first clinic in our medical mission location so the people can have access to medical care even when we are not around. I and other members of my team (IT) have been tasked with setting up an EMR system which was what led me here. I hope I will be able to find the help I need.

A quick insight into what we want to achieve: We would like an EMR system that can work with finger print scanner in identifying the patients. This we think is needed as our target patients are mostly uneducated elderlies. So we are hoping to, among other things, reduce the possibility of errors to the barest minimum and save time spent searching for patients’ data by using a finger print scanner.

So, help from anyone who has done this or have an idea on how this could be achieved would be greatly welcomed.
