Welcome Hillary Nyakundi, Tech Writer Fellow ‘24, Project: Translation Docs! 🌐

Dear Community, please join me in welcoming Hillary (Lary) Nyakundi, @larymak, as one of our 2024 Technical Writer Fellows! Lary will be helping to create clear documentation on how to translate OpenMRS, both for people who want to contribute as volunteer translators, and for implementers who need to translate their complete distribution. One of the things that stood out to us about Lary is his leadership of the Kenyan community of Write-the-Docs, and some relevant work he has done to coordinate swahili translations of documentation. I’ll let Lary introduce himself here:

Hillary Nyakundi is a technical writer and community developer with a passion for inspiring and leading upcoming talents and developers. He has a commitment to giving back to the community which is fueled by a strong interest in open-source contribution and community development. He firmly believes that through collaboration, we can help individuals achieve their full potential through learning and growth.

He is constantly seeking new challenges and loves to work with others to explore innovative solutions. In addition to being tech-savvy, Hillary enjoys learning new concepts and trying out new cooking recipes. He loves cooking.
