Want to make sure the required versions of software needed to make OpenMRS work

Question:

I’m trying to get my notes correctly and looking at some of the documentation in confluence I want to make sure what version are supported to get OpenMRS to work correctly.

Tomcat

Java

Mysql/Mariab

RHEL/Centos

Debian Based

I know I saw that support for Java 8 might be coming soon but, just want to make sure. I will use this information to update the confluence page if no one has any problems.

For platform 1.12 and below,

Tomcat: I have used tomcat 5, 6 and 7 successfully.

Java: 1.6 and 1.7

Mysql: 5.6 and below

Java 8 is for platforme 2.0 and above.
