University 2016-01-14: Reporting Module

Hi All, Welcome to yet another year 2016! Yet another year for the OpenMRS university forums/sessions and this month we intend to take a close look at the reporting module, it’s clear that a number of us have questions on how to fetch data from OpenMRS shape it and form Reports- :slight_smile:

Suggested agenda:

  1. Concepts - cohorts,data-sets, dimensions, indicators (what are they when are they used)
  2. Setting up a report within a module
  3. Setting up a row per patient report
  4. Setting up and building an indicator report
  5. Setting up and building a dimension report
  6. Rendering reports to excel templates
  7. Best practices in using the reporting API - package management, helper classes, evaluators, custom cohorts, performance optimization etc

Hi all (especially @ssemakadde and @ssmusoke),

Unfortunately I just developed a conflict with this call slot and will be unable to join next Wednesday morning. Could we move this to Thursday morning at the same time (this would be during the hour before the developers forum)? If not, please suggest another time.

I don’t understand what you’re asking for. Can you clarify?

Also, in the future, please don’t re-schedule standing meetings using the UberConference line without confirming it is available. (You can do this through the Helpdesk.) We had scheduled something for this time without knowing that the Wednesday meeting was moved to Thursday this week. Thanks! :slightly_smiling:

@ssmusoke, I’m glad it was helpful. I am traveling next week and unable to do this then. I also have a conflict on the following Wednesday, though Tuesday the 26th or Thursday the 28th could work.
