Training Annoucement: Upgrading from Bahmni older versions to Latest Docker version

Hello Bahmni Community,

With the aim of making Bahmni installation easier, quicker, secure and to be cloud ready, Bahmni Dockerization Initiative has been kickstarted and now most of the components of Bahmni are dockerized and the containers can be run on any platform. However many of us would still be using an older setup of Bahmni or facing challenges to migrate to Dockerised setup.

The Thoughtworks Bahmni Team is organizing a Virtual Zoom training on Migrating Bahmni to Docker. This training will be helpful for anyone who wants to get started with migrating their existing Bahmni implementation on CentOS to Bahmni on Docker.

Tentatively, the training is scheduled for two hours a day for two days on 21st December 2023 and 22nd December 2023 , in the evening India time (post 3pm IST). A detailed agenda will be sent out soon.

Please express your interest for this training by signing up in this form and we will email you with exact date/timings, meeting invite based on signups. We would be closing responses for signups by 19th December 2023.

Pre-requisites:

  1. If you are new to Bahmni on Docker and have not tried running Bahmni before, please follow this documentation and try out Bahmni. Alternatively, you can also watch our previous training session videos on Bahmni Community Youtube channel.
  2. Documentation on the upgradation process has been published on Bahmni Wiki. Please give it a read before the training session. https://bahmni.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BAH/pages/3169517585/Upgrading+from+Bahmni+on+CentOS+to+Bahmni+on+Docker

For those folks who are running Bahmni V0.92/v0.93 and want to upgrade to Bahmni Standard/Lite version, do consider attending this training. We do plan to record and share it, but attending it will allow you to ask questions, etc.

We are now moving away from Centos Native install, and instead encouraging people to shift to Docker on Ubuntu LTS (or any mature Linux OS with Docker support).

Anyone willing to try out early, please join our slack channel, where we can assist you better

Hello @angshuonline , I was trying with Bahmni latest dockerized services, it was not pure upgradation though. I have experienced one small issue with Bahmni Mart. Details are here.
