Seeking for skilled OpenMRS developer (Preferably French speaking)

We are looking for a skilled React JavaScript Front-End Developer to join our exciting team in building/customising a EMR based on OpenMRS.

Project Overview:

Scope: Potential tasks include but not limited to module customization, integration with other health systems including DHIS2, Software updates, localization (language translation French translation/validation), Reports dev.

Requirements for this role:

Candidates should have Core OpenMRS Skills:

Frontend Development (preferably) :

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like React (used in OpenMRS 3’s microfrontend architecture).

Experience with responsive design and UI/UX principles.

Backend Development (would be an advantage) :

Knowledge of Java (the primary language for OpenMRS backend).

Understanding of Spring Framework and Hibernate for building scalable applications.

Experience with RESTful APIs and FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards.

Database Management :

Proficiency in working with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Ability to design and optimize database schemas.

DevOps and Deployment :

Familiarity with tools like Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.

Microfrontend Architecture :

Understanding of microfrontend principles and how to build modular, scalable applications.

Knowledge of tools like Webpack for bundling and managing dependencies.

Domain Knowledge

Healthcare IT Standards :

Familiarity with healthcare data standards like HL7, FHIR, and ICD codes.

Understanding of electronic medical records (EMR) workflows and requirements.

Global Health Context :

Awareness of challenges in healthcare delivery in low-resource settings.

Ability to design solutions that are adaptable to diverse healthcare environments.

Collaboration and Communication

Open-Source Development :

Experience contributing to or managing open-source projects.

Familiarity with community-driven development practices.

Team Collaboration :

Strong communication skills for working with a global team of developers, implementers, and healthcare professionals.

Ability to document code and processes clearly for community use.

Problem-Solving :

Analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.

Creativity in designing user-friendly and efficient solutions.
