Scheduling OpenMRS Distro HIS + Ozone HIS Office Hours

@erica / @grace – As we move forward, it seems like the right time to establish a bi-weekly community support call dedicated to all things EIP and HIS, similar to the UX design office hours.

I propose we begin with a one-hour session every two weeks. Would you be able to assist with this initiative?

We can also finalize the details at the conference if that’s more convenient.

I completely agree!! In fact I’ve had a bunch of questions in mind about how this work is going and how we can build community momentum.

I’ve set up a call on the calendar starting next week Wednesday, including a custom Zoom link that will auto-record and recordings will have a title “HIS & EIP Support”: https://om.rs/zoomhis

@mksd for now I just popped it in an open community calendar spot, but please feel free to change it - both you and Suruchi now have the ability to move/edit the community calendar. :slight_smile:

FWIW : Once the OpenMRS 2024 conference concludes on Sept 13, the “new normal” will be to go to @beryl (our new Community lead) for help like that if you’d like :slight_smile: (I’m really excited to have more product-focused time heh heh!)

In the meantime: Perhaps you could use an in-person Unconference session at the OpenMRS Conference in Nairobi to kick this off :smiley: E.g. “Distro HIS + Ozone HIS Discussion Hour”? You can think about it and/or prep by adding that as a possible topic here.

Thank you for your patience! We’re excited to announce that the Ozone, HIS, and EIP Support Hour will officially begin this week on Wednesday, December 4th. These sessions will take place biweekly, providing a space for collaboration and support on these topics.

To start, the sessions will be hosted by our awesome team members @corneliouzbett, @kdaud, and @sidvaish97.

We encourage you to bring your questions—big or small—and take full advantage of this time to engage with us.
