RefApp 2.8.0 volunteers needed

Hello community,
I take this opportunity to invite volunteers who wish to participate in ReApp 2.8.0 testing process and give comments in regards to bugs discovered or any other form of feedback. This is the url http://burkeware.com/feedback/index.html?left=https://uat-refapp.openmrs.org/&right=https://notes.openmrs.org/feedback-example&title=Example+feedback. on the screen login, type
Username: admin,
Password: Admin123
and then directly type the feedback in the notes page on the right hand side. The testing window is only one week from 18/6/2018 - 25/6/2018. After which, if no bugs have been discovered, I will go ahead and immediately release.

Hi @jwnasambu

I think the RefApp 2.8.0 does not contain the updated version of System Administration OpenWebApp. You have mentioned the version as 1.1 in the release notes. But I couldn’t find the updated version while testing on this given link. It contains the previous version(v1.0.1)

You can get the updated version(v1.1) from this Bintray link. Please have a look again and do need full.

Thanks it will be worked on.Any other observation? I wish you use the above procedure in reporting.

@suthagar23 she had actually done that and am the one who reverted it here https://github.com/openmrs/openmrs-distro-referenceapplication/commit/a8ba1d203882bf4d2e9fd9cf9fe2f841543b56ca after getting a build failure. To get the exact error, just checkout the distro and try compile it with that version of the app. If you are able to fix it, we shall update it accordingly. :slight_smile:

The build error is,

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.openmrs.maven.plugins:openmrs-sdk-maven-plugin:3.12.4:build-distro (build-distro) on project referenceapplication-package: Execution build-distro of goal org.openmrs.maven.plugins:openmrs-sdk-maven-plugin:3.12.4:build-distro failed: Bintray package not found!: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found -> [Help 1]

Actually, the updated version of the System Admin OWA(v1.1) was not added into OpenMRS Bintray account. It still hosted into my personal account :-(. This might be the reason behind the build failure.

I have requested to add this updated version into OpenMRS account. But still not added into the OpenMRS Account. Is it possible to accept my request or add this updated OWA under OpenMRS bintray account?

@dkayiwa when i check on http://burkeware.com/feedback/index.html?left=https://uat-refapp.openmrs.org/&right=https://notes.openmrs.org/feedback-example&title=Example+feedback I only find an issue from @suthagar23 i want to believe all those who took there time time to carry out the test the results were positive. The issue at hand is how is suthagar’s case going to be resolved? kindly say something!

She did that already and it was just reverted because of the above.
