Hello members of the advisory council!
I wanted to take a quick second and personally invite you all to our upcoming OpenMRS Worldwide Implementers’ Conference in Kampala, Uganda from 6-11 December. As you may know, our events are designed to bring members of our growing community together. This meeting provides an opportunity for the OpenMRS community and other interested participants to engage collaboratively to help inform and create the future directions of OpenMRS. This years event will include pre-summit tutorials; including a focus on beginning and intermediate OpenMRS engineering topics. The Implementers’ Conference creates a space and time for developers to collaborate and improve their technical skills in OpenMRS (including a 2 day post-event Hackathon), implementers to share their best practices from implementations, and users to propose and prioritize their top features in future releases of the software.
We also intend to leave the event with the basis of an evolved community operational plan for 2017.
As advisors to OpenMRS, you all have clearly made a commitment to being good counsel and supportive allies of the community, and we see you as an important participants in our events. Meetings like this are a good opportunity to re-connect and find ways for deeper partnerships going forward. 
OpenMRS is being implemented by the Ugandan MOH in over 1000 sites over the next year, so it might be a good opportunity for you all to see OpenMRS being used in action.
