OpenMRS Product Roadmap page has been improved 🎨

Dear Community, A big thank you to everyone who has shared honest feedback and reflections over the last year, including the helpful Product Roadmap & Vision unconference session we had during OpenMRS 2024 in Nairobi.

My key takeaways were that the pre-existing Wiki page was way too dense and difficult for people to read, and so was almost never referenced. Then we discovered during that unconference session that some of Confluence’s upgraded tools were only accessible with a login - which simply won’t do, as we want anyone to be able to see our roadmap, even without logging in (e.g. especially Government officials, MoH representatives, or other key decision making personas!).

So voila, here is a new layout we’re trying out! I hope this “collapsed” view makes it easier for all of us to track what’s going on.

Check it out at: :link: :point_right: om.rs/product :point_left: :link:

You’ll see that the “Who” is still present: If you expand a selection, you can see which Organization(s) are contributing to that feature/initiative.

Feedback welcome!!! Share your thoughts here  Or feel welcome to contact me directly!

And, join us this week to work on our shared vision and roadmap in this week’s special call on Wednesday: OpenMRS Product Vision & Roadmap: Community Session

Looks very nice to me @grace. I notice that the squads link in the intro paragraph seems to be broken (though there is another link in the broken page that clicks through).

Good catch, thank you @mattsouth! I’ve fixed the short link that was broken; om.rs/squads works again
