OpenMRS Platform 2.5.0-beta.3 Ready for Testing

Hello Community , as we wrap up the testing of beta and usher in the final release ,

I would like to invite all to help out with Testing Platform-beta.3

We still have the latest Refapp version (2.13.0-SNAPSHOT) spinning on platform 2.5.0-beta.3 at https://uat-refapp.openmrs.org/

or download the it from Sourceforge

We have up to 30th Nov 2021 to test after which we’ll have 2.5.0 Released

@tendomart please could you throw more light on what we are to do. I have looked at the wiki page but I don’t seem to have fully understand how to go about the testing. Thank you.

@irenyak1 for Avoid using MySQL reserved word “rank” as Column Name

I’d do it like this

  1. Setup platform 2.4.1

  2. create a patient(or use existing patient) , start a visit and create a visit note via OWA (It should throw something like Caused by: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'rank) values (‘09aafee4-c8a1-4f17-a185-c9e2cda72363’, null, 1, null, ‘2021-10-31’ at line 1

  3. Repeat the above procedure on Platform 2.5.0-beta.3

That error should be gone .

You can use the SDK to spin up platform

When you need a change in version , simply change the openmrs version in the pom.xml of your instance

are you testing platform 2.5.0 beta as per this thread?

Oh my bad, lemi edit that…I mixed these versions…I was trynna setup the local instance to test this beta version.
