OpenMRS: Nominated Digital Public Good

In 2019, the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA) set up a registry for “Digital Public Goods” that meets the Digital Public Goods Standard. OpenMRS was recently short-listed by the DPGA’s Community of Practice (CoP) for Health and, after submitting a DPG assessment form, OpenMRS is now listed on the DPG Registry as a nominated DPG. Stay tuned for updates!

What is this about?

The DGPA’s CoP for Health, which includes experts from Digital Square, WHO, USAID and others has developed a combined assessment criteria for digital public goods and global goods that we are using to identify, assess and promote highly relevant health solutions for immunization delivery management.

Why is this important?

Fully assessed solutions will be promoted by the DPGA in coordination with CoP stakeholders with the goal of increasing visibility of these solutions for country governments, donors and digital tool implementers.
