Hi we are looking for an OpenMRS consultant to guide upgrading our OpenMRS backend through to the current reference application and to help us think about a transition to 3.0 as well.
We are a large primary care and research organization in Guatemala with one of the oldest and largest OpenMRS implementations in Central America. We mostly run 1.9.9 on our servers. Our ecosystem is entirely cloud based on AWS. We are looking for a very experienced OpenMRS developer who can help us with the upgrade/migration, mostly through coaching and teaching of our local team but also, occasionally, doing direct development if needed.

- Location: remote, option for travel to Guatemala if desired (with travel covered)
- Description of tasks: guide our leadership and development team through decision making and technical steps necessary for OpenMRS modernization project, especially focused on upgrading back-end and data dictionary modernization/OCL integration, but also beginning to help us think through frontend development/OpenMRS 3.0
- Desired start date and/or duration of project: as soon as possible, likely duration 6-12 months, possibly longer
- Qualifications: Significant experience in OpenMRS administration and configuration and support of local development teams; Spanish a plus but not required; ability to be available to work with individuals in Guatemala time zone.
