As the GSoC program comes to a close, it’s time to celebrate your incredible achievements and showcase the outstanding work you’ve accomplished over the past few months. We’re excited to invite you to participate in our GSoC Showcase, where you’ll have the opportunity to present your projects to the entire OpenMRS community, including implementors from around the world.

This showcase is your moment to shine! It’s a chance to share your journey, insights, and the fantastic work you’ve done during GSoC. You’ll have a maximum of 5 minutes to present your project. You should record your presentation in advance. Your recorded presentation will be played during the event, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

How to Prepare:

Here are some tips to ensure your recorded lightning talk video is top-notch:

  1. Content is Key: Clearly explain the problem you aimed to solve. Emphasize why this problem is crucial for the OpenMRS community. Describe how your project addresses this problem and the specific benefits it brings.
  2. Keep it Concise: You have just 5 minutes, so focus on the most important points. Avoid getting too technical; make it accessible to a broad audience.
  3. Visuals: Use slides or screen sharing to illustrate your points. Visual aids can help the audience understand your project better.
  4. Practice: Practice your presentation a few times to ensure your message is clear and within the time limit.

Submission Deadline:

To ensure everything runs smoothly during the event, please submit your recorded presentation by Saturday. You can upload your video to a platform like YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us. This will allow us to review and organize the presentations effectively.

Thanks for the update. This seems to be happening at the same time as the GSOC first day contributor Lightning Talks as personally I was invited to present on 19th as the 3rd speaker
