OpenMRS 2.3 Released

Hello all,

We are happy to announce OpenMRS 2.3 has been released :smile:

OpenMRS 2.3 includes:

  • the latest platform release i.e. 1.11.4 (done by Daniel Kayiwa )
  • the Admin UI module lead by Wyclif Luyima and
  • new versions of lots of modules released by several developers listed below

I would like to specifically thank @wyclif , @maurya, @ryan , @burke , @darius , @raff , @michael , @dkayiwa , @jthomas , @k_joseph and the Infrastructure Team for making things whole lot simpler and quick. All of these people have been amazing in terms of quick responses, patience and understanding.

Is http://demo.openmrs.org updated with 2.3?

@dkayiwa Not yet, but thanks for asking. I sent out a request to help desk as suggested :slight_smile: Should be updated soon.

Great job guys!

FYI: I notice the link at http://openmrs.org/download/ under OpenMRS 2.3 Standalone Edition is to “Download Platform 1.11.2 WAR”. It should be 1.11.4.

Great job getting this release in October @tharunya!

I have a question: the Release Notes page ( https://wiki.openmrs.org/x/A5rKB ) has a “Modules required to be released” section, and a column in that table called “To Do: Update RA-2.3 Documentation”.

I presume that the section should be retitled as “Modules Included in the Release”, right?

I would also expect that the Release Notes should not have a “To Do” column, but if any of those are still actual To Dos you should assign them to people in some way, and remove the column.

@darius Yes, I haven’t noticed it for a while after the release. Changed it to the right title and removed the To Do column as well. Thank you :smiley:
