As many of you know, OpenMRS Inc. is a non-profit organization designed to support the continued growth of the OpenMRS community. One element of the non-profit is a Board of Directors (BoD). The purpose of the Board is to provide guidance to the organization and ensure adherence to its mission; improving healthcare delivery in resource-constrained environments.
The OpenMRS community elects one member to the BoD, to serve a 2-year term. The end of December 2023 brought an end to Gibril Gomez’s term as our Community Representative. Gibril’s tenacity was particularly displayed during resource mobilization for OMRS23; rallying up troops and brilliantly engaging partners in all sectors to ensure that the conference took place. We salute you Gibril!
It is now time for the OpenMRS Community to nominate and elect a new Community Representative to the OpenMRS Board.
This seat is a critical position for the OpenMRS community, as this individual attends the BoD meetings and is able to ensure that the concerns and triumphs of OpenMRS are communicated appropriately to the BoD.
You are hereby invited to submit your nomination, by filling out this form.
Feel free to nominate yourself if this responsibility is right up your alley. There is no term limit for this volunteer position so those who have served in the past can run again.
