The aim of this update is to automatically link patients with their image data. This update (OpenMRS versions 2.x and 3.x) introduces features that make it easier to link image studies stored in PACS (Orthanc) with patients in OpenMRS, thereby helping to reduce mismatches. Key updates include:
- Automatic patient linking for image studies requested through the worklist, with a simple user confirmation based on metadata comparison between the EHR (OpenMRS) and the image study metadata in Orthanc.
- Procedure step management based on automatic linking, allowing users to request corrections for rejected steps.
- Existing fuzzy name-based image scoring is retained to help associate uploaded images with the correct patient.
- New end-to-end test platform to validate data flows
