Hello Everyone!
Madiro is growing its Talent Roster for those who believe in reusable solutions and community-driven development. We’re inviting passionate and experienced engineers & leads to join our curated network working on open-source projects — such as OpenMRS features, distros, implementations, and tools — that strengthen the broader Global Digital Health community.
Our roster connects talented professionals with meaningful digital needs from humanitarian and health organizations, where healthcare technology makes a critical difference in patient care and health outcomes — all while building solutions designed for long-term impact and community ownership.
What we’re building:
- OpenMRS ecosystem: modules, HIS/Ozone distros, and implementation tools
- Health data interoperability: HIE/data exchange between systems (Odoo, Senaite, OpenConceptLab, OpenFN)
- AI-powered automation: development and implementation tools (Claude Code, MCP, RAG)
- Offline/mobile solutions: data capture tools (Android FHIR SDK, EMR4All, import features)
- Infrastructure & DevOps: deployment and maintenance tooling (Github Actions, Docker, Helm, K3S)
We’re seeking talent across these areas:
- Software Engineers (Java, React, or Python development, technical architecture)
- Health Informatics Specialists (healthcare workflows, clinical terminology, implementation strategy)
- DevOps Engineers (platform management, CD/CI, Linux, site reliability, security)
- Data Integration Engineers (system integration, interoperability)
- AI/Automation Engineers (machine learning, automation tools)
- Technical Leads & Implementation Managers (project delivery, stakeholder management)
You don’t need expertise in everything — proven experience in one or two areas is great! We primarily value specialists and leaders who are committed to collaborative development.
The opportunity:
- Join our established talent roster — this means we’ll match you with relevant project opportunities based on your skills and availability when they arise
- Typical duration: 2 weeks to 3 months per project (20-120 hours)
- $30-80/hour USD based on roles, skills, experience, and location — fully remote
- Direct impact on frontline healthcare delivery with active projects
- Contribute to Digital Public Goods that benefit the entire Global Health community
- English required, French is a plus
How does the roster work: Once accepted, you become part of our network and we’ll contact you as project opportunities that match your expertise develop. Then you choose which projects to pursue based on your availability and interests.
Interested? If you recognize yourself and care about building solutions that work in humanitarian and challenging environments — limited connectivity, resource constraints, emergency response — we encourage you to apply.
Applications open until August 31.
