Please see attached RFP for funding to do research on Lenacapavir for PrEP in Africa. This is what I mentioned on the Implementer’s showcase call today.

Eligible countries include: Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Please note: • Only proposals where study site(s), participants, and the principal investigator are located in at least one of the 11 countries of interest will be considered. (In the case of multiple principal investigators, at least one principal investigator must be based in a country of interest.) • Initiation of studies through this RFP will be contingent upon country-specific regulatory approval and availability of LEN PrEP via local public health systems. • Priority will be given to submissions led by existing, local entities that demonstrate strong technical expertise, commitment to providing access to HIV prevention services, and experience conducting implementation research. Lenacapavir supply: • LEN PrEP must be leveraged from existing, local public health systems (for example, Ministry or Department of Health supply). Requests for LEN PrEP supply from Gilead will not be considered.

Thanks dear @akanter

This is a call to established OpenMRS partners to joint-venture to applying to this RFP. Together will be stronger to Win and opportunities for work will be offered to many of our community colleagues .

EMR4All will be glad to joint-venture with organisations or companies locally established in the listed countries; for the side of EMR4All we will address the low-connectivity environments of OpenMRS ensures continuity of LEN PrEP data capture, adherence monitoring, and reporting even when internet access is intermittent or unavailable as stated in the RFP in (Underserved key populations, Fragile health systems). These environments often lack stable internet, so offline-capable tools are naturally aligned.

The RFP targets Implementation research in “regionally appropriate delivery settings” This includes: Government clinics, New settings like antenatal care, Key population community settings)which require for partnering organisation to have a recommendation or any kind of MoU with local Ministries of health so if you have already deployed OpenMRS or other version and you are located in the selected countries and find willing to participate in this Biding don’t hesitate to reach out with us to joint-venture.

Time is running!
