Hey everyone! I’m Sakshi, a final-year IT student from Mumbai, India. I’m looking to start contributing to OpenMRS and exploring GSoC 2026 opportunities with the org.
My background is in backend development — Python, Java, JavaScript, REST APIs, and microservices. I recently won Smart India Hackathon 2024 building a distributed backend platform with real-time messaging, so I’m comfortable navigating larger codebases.
I’ve gone through the contributing guide and am currently setting up the dev environment. Planning to pick up a good-first-issue shortly — happy to receive any pointers on where newcomers are most needed right now!
