Missing Jira comment permissions & assistance with contributor access (OpenMRS ID: supersaiyan101)

Hello OpenMRS Community and Infra Team,

I am writing to kindly ask for assistance with my Jira permissions on openmrs.atlassian.net.

My OpenMRS ID is supersaiyan101 (email: [email protected]).

The Problem

I previously opened Helpdesk ticket ISD-20572 to set up my access. While my account was created, it currently remains in read-only mode:

  • The comment box does not appear at all under issues in the TRUNK project (under Activity, only All / History / Work log show up).
  • I am unable to comment, ask questions on tickets, or take part in discussions.

Context & Contributions

I’ve been trying to get this sorted for quite a while now, and it has been rather frustrating being unable to interact on Jira despite actively contributing to the codebase. I currently have two pull requests submitted to openmrs-core that have all tests passing and reviews addressed:

I would love to be an active, communicative contributor, but being locked out of commenting on Jira has made collaborating difficult.

Request

Could an administrator please verify my account permissions and add supersaiyan101 to the appropriate jira-users / contributor group so I have standard comment permissions on Jira issues?

Thank you very much for your time and help in resolving this.

Kindly you already have access to Jira/wiki, so you should be able to log in to the issue tracker.

Hi @jwnasambu, thank you for checking!

To clarify: I am able to log in to Jira without any issues. The problem is that once logged in, my account is in read-only mode on issues (such as in the TRUNK project):

The Comments tab and the comment text box do not appear at all under activity (only all, history, and work log are visible) because of this, I cannot leave comments, ask questions, or participate on tickets.

Could you or an administrator please check if my account (supersaiyan101) has the “Add Comments” permission or needs to be added to the jira-software-users / contributor group in the project’s permission scheme?

Thank you so much!

Kindly click on your profile on the jira issue tracker and click on login in on the listed options.

@jwnasambu thanks for suggesting this , i logged in as you told , but now there is a new problem i can not see any issues under list ,

It appears my account (`supersaiyan101`) is missing from the **“Browse Projects”** and **“Add Comments”** permission scheme for the **OpenMRS Core (TRUNK)** space.
