We are running Bahmni in rural Haiti in a health clinic for doctors. We need a low power server, as power is scarce. I considered using a Raspberry Pi 3, but it would appear that it does not support CentOS 6.7.
Does anyone have any hardware recommendations that support CentOS 6.7 and therefore Bahmni?
Am I thinking about this the right way?
What happens in 2020 when CentOS 6.7 is no longer updated…are there plans for Bahmni to be supported on more recent CentOS versions?
We are running Bahmni without ELIS or ERP in a stand-alone small outpatient clinic. So I think we fall in the category of use cases that do NOT require full system requirements – nonetheless was going to target hardware solutions that are dual core and 8gb RAM.
I thought a mini single board PC would be adequate for these purposes AND require less power (so we can use portable batteries) as this is a power-poor location.
I’m curious if anyone has faced this use-case scenario and how they approached it.
