Lamp for Haiti is a not-for-profit organization based in Philadelphia, PA, whose mission is to provide quality, cost-effective health care to those on the margins of Haitian society. Following the PIH model we utilize local talent and resources to as great an extent, and whenever, possible.
The Lamp Health Center is located in the Bwa Nef section of Cite Soleil, Port au Prince (Haiti). We successfully launched our electronic medical records system (OpenMRS) in October 2014. We are recruiting for a full or part-time Informatics Director to lead the maintenance and expansion of our custom-built version of the OpenMRS system. The ideal candidate would be a Haitian national, with a working understanding of OpenMRS including the ability to expand the program (for example we have radiography we would like to incorporate). That is, programming skills are required. In the absence of direct knowledge of OpenMRS, the candidate should be willing and able to quickly master this software on the job.
