JIRA ticket for Provider Management Module documentation

I am with a team of new developers who have noticed some missing documentation in the Provider Management Module. We would like to help add documentation. We were wondering if we needed to create a JIRA ticket first or if there are guidelines for documentation branches.

For management purposes, you are free to create a ticket (and possibly sub tasks) under the JIRA provider management (PROV) project. Hopefully you took a look at this: https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Provider+Management+Module

Thanks again for what you and team are doing!

Thanks @blampe!

Let us know if you need any guidance. What parts of the module were you planning on documenting? Some of the underlying functionality in the module will soon be moved to Core, and some of the UI functionality in the module is old and rarely used so may not be worth documenting.

The module only has its name and one sentence about its purpose in the README. I added an overview, requirements, installation, and links to the community wiki and JIRA, and I created a pull request. The request is here: https://github.com/openmrs/openmrs-module-providermanagement/pull/24

Now that the pull request has been accepted, the issue should be closed, but I cannot figure out how to close it. I think I might not have that ability. The JIRA ticket is here: https://issues.openmrs.org/browse/PROV-92?jql=project%20%3D%20PROV%20AND%20status%20in%20("Ready%20for%20Work"%2C%20Approved%2C%20"Needs%20Assessment")

Looks like Mark closed this.
