Sir, I’ve started working seriously on OpenMRS and exploring JIRA issues. I can see several issues marked as unassigned and incomplete, and I’m interested in picking one to contribute. However, when I open an issue, I don’t see any option to assign it to myself or request assignment via comments. Could you please guide me on the correct process to request an issue so I can start working on it properly?
If you haven’t requested access to Jira and the Wiki via the helpdesk, that’s the first step. If you have, it doesn’t look like you’re logged into you’re OpenMRS account on Jira. You’ll only be able to comment on or assign yourself tickets when logged in to your @id.openmrs.org account.
