JIRA email notifications not working?

JIRA watcher updates

Is JIRA still sending any updates to issue watchers and mentionings, i seem to be missing out on almost all updates from Jira when am mentioned on tickets or from issues i am watching. i only get updates from search queries/filters. Is anyone else here experiencing this!!!
